Ares moves the eggs into the shade

The temperature was into the 70s for the first time in weeks. While Ares was in the box, he switched from incubating to shading the eggs. He eventually moved all the eggs over to the front of the box where there was some shade. That was the first time we’ve seen one of these falcons move the eggs so far.

  1. I have taken note of what possibly appears to be a birds( pigeon perhaps) severed foot/leg in the upper left hand corner of the nest. On the leg/foot, it looks like there may be two bands attached,…one red and one yellow. Was wondering if you could clearify what I am looking at. Much thanks in advance, for the effort put forth in making this most facinating project a success as well as enjoyable for the community to see.
