Astrid and Ares finally made the 2021 breeding season official – food tributes and matings were the theme of the day.
Of course the day had to include a dance as well!
Although Astrid and Ares have been documented having aborted mating attempts, today was the first verified mating of the 2021 season.
We were surprised by a second mating and a second food offering later this afternoon. As far as we know Ares had not yet offered Astrid any food tributes before today.

Ironic you send this email yesterday and this morning our son told me he heard our falcon in the trees yesterday talking or scolding what ever, he thinks she is house cleaning from last year?
